The SCAN MASTER 2 utilizes a special LED light illumination panel completely free of any ultraviolet or infrared radiation, this guarantees harmless and uniform illumination to the original book or document on every scan. Ambient light is far more harmful to the original than the illumination panel inside of the SCAN MASTER 2. Location of the scanner is not restricted, bright sunlight or intense flourescent ceiling lighting does not interfere in the scanning process. The SCAN MASTER family of products are the only book scanners on the market that do not utilize an external operational light source, thus NO negative impact to the vision of the operator.
High Quality Color Scanning Technology
The SCAN MASTER 2 is equipped with a unique scan engine which provides high quality images based on state of the art technology. Bitonal, grey scale, or color images can be produced with a resolution up to 1200 dpi.
Networking Made Easy
The SCAN MASTER 2 is an IP based network scanner. Communication with the scanner takes place via a gigabit ethernet network card.
Fastest Scanning Speeds
The SCAN MASTER 2 was designed for applications where speed is critical. With a scan speed less than 5 seconds (C-size, 600 dpi optical) it is the fastest scanner of its kind. Scan speed and interface technology (network) offers the highest possible productivity.
The SCAN MASTER 2 is capable of handling many different materials. The standard model is equipped with a motorized book cradle for handling most originals. For larger books, an optional book cradle is available. A custom 120°-160° book cradle is an option for handling delicate books that can not be opened to a full 180°. For digitizing flat originals, the SCAN MASTER 2 can level all book cradle surfaces to create a C-size (17.7″ x25″) completely flat scanning surface. The unique pull out book cradle on the SCAN MASTER 2 makes it easy to handle large and heavy originals. Operation and adjustment of the book cradle happens conveniently via touch panel. The scan can be engaged by either a foot pedal, the touch panel, or the click of a mouse.
